Kara and Katie met on a Unversity of San Diego sunset cruise for transfer students, but as the life of the party, Kara only remembers them meeting months later at the beach. Regardless, they became inseparable roommates, frequenting bottomless mimosa brunches, hosting highly acclaimed Halloween parties, and binging late-night Law & Order marathons, which inspired her to become a practicing paralegal. Kara is a woman of many talents. When she isn't training dolphins for the next show at Sea World, she's traveling the world or catching waves, surfing everywhere from San Diego to the shores of Ireland. An avid fan of Formula 1 racing and all things Oregon sports, Kara traded her illustrious collegiate swimming career for treks with her Instagram-famous puppy. Jane is Tim's amazing sister! Tim introduced Jane and Katie at a Padres game, where Jane is a season ticket holder and avid fan. They instantly bonded as feline fanatics and agree they like most cats better than most people. In addition to a mutual enjoyment of teasing Tim, Jane and Katie share a love of brightly colored cocktails, dry sarcasm, everything chocolate, and international jet-setting. They each lived abroad in Europe multiple times and are impossible to pin down! The wedding will be their 3rd international trip together! You name it, Jane's built it. When she's not directing traffic on the construction site as a Project Engineer, Jane is a fantasy football phenom, world traveller of 5 continents, licensed bartender, and dumpling connoisseur. Kayla and Katie met almost a decade ago through Katie's cousin. They instantly bonded over wine-filled family gatherings, existential discussions on the meaning of life, and a shared love of paranormal documentaries. Well known as the woman who can do it all, this highly accomplished go-getter is also a Mom to two adventurous and adorable daughters (who are our stunning flower girls!). Kayla’s collegiate career took her coast to coast, completing her undergrad at Cal Poly and continuing to earn a Master's Degree from Virginia Tech. When she's not teaching seventh grade Math and Science, you can find Kayla hiking through National Parks, enjoying time with her big Portuguese family, or expertly mixing a skinny margarita. Sarah and Katie grew up on the same street and have been friends for over 25 years. The magnetic member of Katie's hometown crew, Sarah is a loyal friend who would always be there to TP an ex-boyfriend’s house, meet up for Starbucks at any time of day, and choreograph killer dance moves on a whim. Well known as the master of memes and a fitness fanatic, Sarah will leave you in stitches with wit as sharp as a Flight of the Conchords script. Sarah enjoys life to the fullest with her devoted husband Dwight in northern Alabama and undoubtedly has the cutest baby boy alive - Adam! Ask her about the time capsule we buried in her front yard in third grade.

Jackie and Katie grew up on the same street and have known each other going on for 3 decades! They met in a daycare run by Jackie's mom, and Jackie inherited her Mom's knack with kids, working as a paraprofessional at her hometown school district. Local celebrities in the bustling Manteca metro area, Katie and Jackie were the founding members of a hit 90s cover band and still revel in the trends of the decade. Jackie's eclectic interests include a love of her Portuguese heritage, an extensive Rae Dun collection, and an obsession with Elvis Presley. Ask her about her sharp trivia skills on old TV shows; she will school you!

Katie and Katie have been friends for almost 30 years, growing up on the same street and rounding out the Michaeltin Court Crew. The Katies have traded in their backyard camping as kids for international trips, traveling to Italy together for the second time. A food aficionado, @Katies_discerning_palate can offer expert culinary critique on all food and wine in Italy, owing to her Italian parents and extensive travels. Following a celebrated basketball career, Katie took her talents to Long Beach, where she still schools kids on the blacktop, now as a PE teacher. From summer jobs as lifeguards to current powerlifting buddies, JD has always been like a brother to Tim. The best man will feel quite at home in Italy, where he resided for 2 years cultivating his passions for travel, fine cooking, and mustache growing. Opening a new chapter to their storied friendship, which includes buying Tim his first beer and accompanying him on his first international trip, the “@Bulking Baker™” recently moved to San Diego, as his life of excitement and adventure was woefully incomplete without Tim’s steadying presence. Alex and Tim met when they were paired together as freshmen roommates in college, and have been inseparable ever since. Their friendship has endured everything from sharing a 10x12 dorm room in the scorching SoCal heat to a one-man tent on the snow-swept summit of the Andes Mountains. Connoisseur of California burritos, cornhole, Mario Kart, poodles, and immaculately coiffed hair, Alex holds the joint title with Tim as the undisputed “Handsomest Men in Del Mar.” As the only one who can keep Tim in check, nothing slips by this suave San Diego district attorney. Since he will claim responsibility for Katie and Tim’s relationship, ask Alex about dragging Tim out to the bar the night Tim and Katie met!
James Yurkovich

James was Tim’s first roommate in San Diego and closest companion throughout grad school. A man of many talents, Dr. Yurkovich forged his friendship with Dr. Baffi over late-night theoretical science discussions and shared love of Taco Tuesdays, cheesy Sci-Fi movies, timely puns, fine scotch, Ugg moccains, and proper grammar. When he's not running his new start-up, the biotech-exec delights himself in the classics, reprising Tchaikovsky concertos and conversing fluently in everything from Latin to Elvish. His patience in dealing with Tim is matched only by his patience in crafting the perfect cocktail. Affectionately bestowing Tim with the moniker of “Mayhem” in grad school, ask James about his best story from living with Tim for 5 years!

Steve is one of Tim’s oldest hometown friends who shared in everything from swim team to choir, and is responsible for 2 of Tim’s 3 traffic tickets. Regarded as a Top 5 music writer of all time in Brooklyn, Steve moonlights as a fantasy football guru and preeminent twitter personality. Now on opposite coasts, Steve and Tim are the founding members of the illustrious annual tradition, “Classy Night,” currently in its 14th installment, and thus are no strangers to swanky soirées. Look for Steve to rock both a black-tie Tux and a Canadian Tuxedo during the wedding weekend. “@DJ Eddie And the Stones” is the ultimate authority on the music industry as radio DJ, composer, and columnist, and is responsible for 99% of Tim’s music library. Joey and Tim met in college when a summer internship brought him to Tim’s hometown. Commonly mistaken for the most interesting man in the world, this international man of mystery has a penchant for rooftop hot tubs, trumpet solos, sailing, man-buns, mustangs, and Thai pajamas. Sharing his passions for the biotech industry, Giants baseball, and activist poetry with Tim, Joey’s spontaneity has been the source of many unforgettable stories with certainly more to come.
