How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

The wedding venue is located 20 minutes from Winchester, VA. To ensure you arrive at the right location, please follow google directions by using the name of the venue "Puesta Del Sol Farm". For more information and directions, please refer to the "Schedule" section on our website.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes! If not, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your children, due to budget/space constraints we ask that only adults attend (unless otherwise stated on the invitation).

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable at our wedding! For this time of year in the Appalachian Mountains, the temperature averages between 72/49 degrees. May we suggest the following: Women: short or mid-length dresses with a cover-up, and flats or wedge heels for the outdoor ceremony. Men: light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the ceremony to allow for seating and any last-minute adjustments.

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors on the lawn by the arbor. The reception will be held under a covered pavilion. Both sites are on the same property, so no need to worry about moving locations.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! Puesta Del Sol Farm provides golf cart transportation for guests needing a little bit of extra assistance.

Is there a backup plan in case of inclement weather?

Answer

Yes, we have a contingency plan in place. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to an indoor or covered location at the venue. Rest assured, we will make every effort to ensure the celebration goes on smoothly.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

There is free parking available at the venue. A staff member will be on-site directing the traffic.

Is it okay to take photos during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we have hired a professional photographer. However, feel free to capture memories during the reception!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

While we would love to provide a full, open bar for our guests, it is not within our budget. We will be serving a limited amount of beer, cider, and wine.

Are there hotel blocks available for guests?

Answer

Yes, we have arranged for a block of rooms at Courtyard Marriott Winchester Medical Center. Please book your room by April 29th to receive the special rate. Visit the "Travel" section of our website for more information and alternative options.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We kindly request that all guests RSVP by May 1st. You can do this by visiting the "RSVP" section of our website.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, the couple is registered in a few places. You can find a link to our registry in the "Registry" section of our website.

Will dinner be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes, following the ceremony light snacks will be served for cocktail hour while the wedding party takes photos. Following cocktail hour, dinner will be served to guests by table order.

Will there be any vegetarian, gluten-free, or special diet options available?

Answer

Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP so we can ensure that your needs are accommodated.

Can I request a specific song or make a song suggestion for the reception?

Answer

We'd love to include your favorite songs in our celebration! Please share your song requests or suggestions when you RSVP.

Are there any other wedding related events that I should know about?

Answer

We will be hosting a rehearsal dinner on Thursday, May 29th at 4:00pm for the wedding party and immediate family members. Formal invitations with more information will be sent separately.
