There's plenty to do right at Turf Valley Resort - they have a golf course, an indoor and outdoor pool, a spa, a restaurant, a bar, and tennis courts.
We'd also recommend visiting the historic downtown Ellicott City, which is less than a ten minute drive away and has lots of shops and great restaurants.
If you're around for the weekend, Baltimore is close by and has lots to visit. We love the Baltimore National Aquarium and the Baltimore Museum of Art, and there are lots of great places to eat as well in and around the Inner Harbor.
