To our out of town guests - this is a must go! This spot is a coastal summer dream. It does require ~10 minute drive out of town, but you will be rewarded with unobstructed ocean front views across the sweeping lawn filled by Adirondack chairs overlooking the harbor and Newport bridge.
This quintessential New England lobster shack quickly became a favorite for us. Find a picnic table and enjoy a lobster roll (or two) right beside the harbor. Rob loves the fried lobster bites!
If you're looking to get some exercise, the Cliff Walk is a scenic waterfront trail which takes you on a journey behind Newport's famed gilded mansions. The trail is 3.5 miles long end to end but it has plenty of exit opportunities along the way.
Belle's Café is one of Newport's “best kept secrets”. Inside Newport Shipyard, this cool spot lets you dine dockside under sailcloth tents. They serve breakfast and lunch all day if you are looking for a quick, casual bite.
Tucked away on Americas Cup, this is the classic New England seafood restaurant that Allie and Rob met working at when they were 16! Sit on the patio for lunch to enjoy the view of Newport harbor and get the bag of donuts.
A Newport staple! Classic Americana cuisine, and in the summer, they offer a special "Summer Sushi" menu which includes some of the freshest local fish and great vibes.
One of the best rooftop bars with a great view! Enjoy drinks and snacks while soaking in sweeping views from the "Top of Newport"
One of our first dates! The best homemade ice cream in town with a unique and ever-changing menu.
