If you had told me, 10 years ago, that I would end up marrying that girl that sat in front of me in 8th grade math class, I'd obviously think you are full of it. Our relationship began as most do in grade school; through after-school shenanigans and friend groups. Although ours was even crazier, because it, at least to me, felt like it came out of nowhere. My middle school girlfriend would become my wife? Who knew? Who knew that a dumb One Direction re-enactment party in the summer of 2014 would be the foundation of our beautiful 10 year relationship? Who knew my 8th grade dance partner would be the woman I devote my life to? Who knew I would marry that girl who came to all my games even though she had no idea what was going on? Who knew the family I was so nervous of would wind up being one of the greatest blessings in my life? Who knew the girl my parents thought would be the one would actually wind up being the one? Who knew that all those crazy dreams I would daydream about would come true? Who knew that my best friend would say yes to me when I asked her to be my wife? That's the craziest thing about love. It is so unpredictably natural, yet one of the most beautiful things life has to offer. I pray that everyone reading this gets to feel this feeling, because there is nothing in this world that can compare to the feeling I had when I bought Claudia's ring. The feeling I had when I asked her parents for their blessing. The feeling I had when I took that knee. The feeling I had when she said yes. The feeling I will have when she walks down that isle. This life we have lived together; this adventure we have experienced together has been the most incredible blessing one could ever wish for. We began this adventure a decade ago. It is time for our journey to finally begin.
