Cathy & Damien
Always Outdoors...Unless We're Eating
As you scroll through our collective photos, you might notice three themes persist:
1. Cathy and Damien are always doing something...and it's probably outdoors. Even while in graduate school, Cathy insisted on making time to be with Damien in their favorite locations.
2. If Cathy and Damien are indoors, they are either cooking or eating. Willing to try (almost) anything once, Damien's expertise in the kitchen has encouraged even Cathy to try cooking a few new meals.
3. Enthusiasm! Cathy and Damien are excited to spend time together and push each other to new limits. Whether it's hiking, boarding, cooking, or travel trailer repairs, these two don't do too many things half way...except the laundry and dishes, but who cares about those tasks anyway?
Sparks fly on the 4th of July...Cathy and Damien found every excuse to spend time together early in their relationship, attending two fireworks displays in 2017.
Testing their metal early in their relationship, Cathy and Damien set out sailing with Cathy's boss at the helm. They argued once, over the windless...which according to the Captain, doesn't count.
Finding the perfect match - Damien and Cathy assisted Grace in selecting the Christmas tree for the 2017 holiday gatherings.
The Engagement - Damien planned an evening in Seattle for February 10, 2018. The couple enjoyed beautiful weather allowing them to take in the city lights on a clear winter night.
Damien proposed on the Seattle Farris Wheel, and the couple headed to the International District to enjoy a shared favorite meal, shrimp boil with all of the fixin's.
Cathy and Damien both enjoy snowboarding. Cathy finally found a partner on the slopes that pushes her to get up, get out, and keep going.
Damien and Cathy have both wanted to pursue snowshoeing on Mount Rainier, so planned ahead, waited in the queue to enter the park, and were rewarded with perfect weather and a perfect day, March 2018.
Cathy planned another date night in Seattle to see Ichiro's return to the Seattle Mariners. This was Damien's first Mariner's game, and he wanted to be as close as possible.
