We're getting married!

We met while I was pledging the co-ed fraternity he was already a member of. As a part of that process, I had to ask all members questions. After I had asked him all my questions, he asked how I was liking the process, to which I admitted I was stressed from not being around the ROTC (majority of members) crowd much. He offered me his phone number to help me meet up with other members for questions and I thought, "Oh wow! This guy is so nice and going to be a great help!" Yes. I was that oblivious. It wasn't until he picked me up to take me to the next meeting and told me I looked beautiful that I thought maybe there was more going on, but I never would have guessed those small gestures would have led us here!

We were getting ready to come home for the holidays and plans to see the lights at Longwood Gardens fell through. I was really bummed because I had been looking forward to the beautiful holiday lights. He surprised me with a trip to the local botanical gardens, which had a walk-through holiday light display. We got to a gazebo with mistletoe, and he asked me to close my eyes. He told me he had an early Christmas present for me, and when I opened my eyes he was down on one knee!
