WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

SATURDAY - WELCOME DINNER Elevated Resort Wear Women: Flowy dresses, matching sets, or elevated beach wear. Men: Linen shirts, lightweight pants, or polished short sets. ——— SUNDAY - SUNSET CRUISE All White Keep it white, light and breezy. ——— MONDAY - WEDDING DAY Beach Formal No white, and ladies please avoid black! Women: Floor-length dresses in bright, playful colors - the bolder, the better. Men: Lightweight suits or dress shirts with slacks. No shorts or sandals. For this day, we encourage you to have fun and dress within our color palette on our "What to Wear" page! Think vibrant, bold colors, sunset hues, tropical tones, and statement pieces. The ceremony will take place on sand, so keep that in mind when picking out your shoes.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY ROOM?

Answer

As soon as possible! A $200 deposit per room (not per person) is required to secure your booking. Room availability is limited by type, so we highly recommend reserving early. Deposit due October 2nd. Final payment is due October 28th. Note: Reserving your room does not count as your RSVP - please be sure to complete both.

WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?

Please RSVP to the events as soon as possible to help us with our planning! The final deadline is October 2nd. If we don’t receive your RSVP by then, we will unfortunately have to mark you as not attending.

DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE RESORT?

Answer

Yes, per our wedding contract, all guests are required to stay at Secrets/Dreams Bahia Mita Resort for a minimum of 3 nights. We recommend you book the Secrets (adults-only) side of the resort, but the Dreams side is included as well. Our room block is set for March 19-24. If you’d like to arrive earlier or stay longer, please coordinate directly with our travel agent, Chad Simpson.

No, per our wedding contract, all guests are required to book within our room block to attend the wedding events.

HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE RESORT?

Answer

You’re welcome to take a taxi or Uber (note: Uber cannot pick up inside the airport - you would need to walk into a parking lot nearby). About 5-6 weeks before the wedding, Chad will collect flight details for shared group transportation at an additional cost, for those interested.

Yes! Your passport must be valid and not expire within 6 months of March 2027.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras put away during the ceremony. We’ve hired two incredible professional photographers and want everyone to be fully present in the moment 🤍

CAN I SURF?

Answer

Yesss! The resort is right in front of Punta Burros, a reef break with great waves. There’s also La Lancha just down the road, which is a fun, more mellow, and beginner-friendly wave. Bring your board or rent one while you’re there.

DO I NEED TO EXCHANGE CURRENCY?

Answer

The resort accepts credit cards, but having some pesos on hand for tips or excursions is recommended.
