Question

WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE?

Answer

June 15th, 2024. To RSVP, please click the RSVP tab here on our website and type in your name. All invited guests in your party will appear here to mark as "will attend" or "will not attend". Please RSVP before June 15th, 2024. All RSVPs unattended to or received after this date will be marked as declining. Unfortunately, we won't be able to make any acceptions after confirming the final head count with our vendors.

Question

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitations. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

Answer

We love your kids, we really do! However, due to venue limitations, we respectfully request our wedding to be an adult-only (21+) event. We hope this notice is enough time for you to make other arrangements to take the day off and celebrate with us!

Question

WILL THE WEDDING TAKE PLACE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Answer

Both! Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, while our reception will be indoors.

Question

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

We are hosting an Indian-Fusion wedding, and our dress code will reflect this vibrant blend of cultures! If you opt for Western attire, we request formal attire (black-tie optional). Men are kindly asked to wear dark-colored suits paired with a dark-colored tie or bowtie, while ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns. Feeling intrigued by Indian attire? We recommend either reaching out to a South Asian friend for borrowing options or supporting local boutiques. However, we've also compiled a list of online retailers below for your convenience. For men, the dress code calls for a sherwani or kurta set in dark colors, while for ladies, we request lehengas or saris. Please kindly refrain from attire in shades of white (ivory, cream, beige, champagne) as well as red and maroon, as these hues are reserved for the bride and the wedding party. If you're seeking inspiration or clarity on black-tie optional attire (Indian or Western), feel free to utilize these links to our Pinterest boards! https://www.pinterest.com/poojaalonzawedding/wedding-women/ https://www.pinterest.com/poojaalonzawedding/wedding-men/ Here's a curated list of online retailers for your convenience: House of Indya ($-$$) Lashkaraa ($-$$) Maya's Desi Boutique ($-$$) - based in Texas Saj Dhaj Ke ($$) - based in Charlotte, NC Kalki Fashion ($$-$$$) Pernia's Pop Up ($$-$$$)

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We will be having a Baraat which is an Indian ceremony precession. This will promptly be starting at 3:30 P.M. so we ask everyone to arrive at the venue by 3:00 P.M.

Question

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We are hosting an "unplugged" ceremony, meaning no photos or cameras. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I do". We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and will share moments of our big day as soon as we receive them. Feel free to take as many photos and videos after the ceremony!
