This food hall has become one of the hottest places in Tampa. Sitting right on the water, this 110-year old building has been immaculately restored with plenty of food options for even the pickiest eaters. Highly recommend stopping at the rooftop bar upstairs, M. Bird, for some of the best views of the city skyline and sunsets. If you're looking for brunch, Alison loves Graze 1910's avocado egg salad (with a mimosa on the side). For lunch or dinner, some of Matt's favorite BBQ in Tampa is from Butcher and Barbeque.
One of our favorite restaurants in Tampa! More fantastic views of the Hillsborough River sunsets with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Originally the Tampa Water Works built in 1906, this building has been transformed into one of the most popular spots in the area with one of the best drink menus around. Make sure to order Alison's favorite cocktail "Ring of Fire" and Matt's favorite beer "Wedding Beer" (how appropriate). For dinner, the charbroiled oysters are a can't miss menu item or if you're feeling really exotic, try the Native Chili.
One of the newest additions to the growing Tampa downtown scene, Sparkman Wharf is a waterfront outdoor space that sits along the water. The area offers local dining options in muraled storage pods, a biergarten, games and live music. What more could you ask for? Try some of Tampa's local craft beers - both Matt and Alison recommend the Graffiti Orange from 7venth Sun Brewery.
The Tampa Riverwalk is a 2.6 mile long path that hugs the Hillsborough River and winds through some of the best areas in Downtown Tampa. Rent some bikes and cruise through the city, making pit stops along the way. Drinks are allowed on the Riverwalk as long as they are in Riverwalk cups. Make sure to wave at Alison and Matt when you pass their apartment which sits along the Riverwalk near The Straz Center.
Arghh you interested in exploring Tampa by water? The Tampa Pirate Water Taxi company rides up and down the Riverwalk, stopping at all the downtown hot spots listed here. Stops continue through the evening and you can hop on the water taxi right outside the Marriott Hotel that we are using for the wedding!
Why not check out the area where the wedding will be? Some of the best food stops in Tampa are here including On Swann, Bar Taco, Meat Market and Forbici. And the food is matched with shops for any mood. The reception will take place at the Hyde House in Hyde Park Village. Order Alison's favorite margarita from Bar Taco or enjoy some of Matt's favorite pasta and pizza from Forbici.
Hands down the best coffee in not only Tampa, but the state of Florida (possibly the country? world?). From a freshly roasted black drip coffee to a vanilla iced latte with oat milk (Alison's favorite), they've got everything your caffeine addict heart could desire. Not to mention the baristas are some of the coolest cats and kittens that you've ever met. Make sure to say hi to Jason. If you have a dog, bring it.
This place has the most pleasing aesthetics in Tampa Bay and a brunch/lunch menu to match. In addition to being one the most gorgeous restaurants in the area, Oxford also offers a shop, bookstore, lounge area AND The Champagne Bar - which is exactly what it sounds like.
Cruise along the world's longest continuous sidewalk (fun fact) that sits in between the Tampa Bay and some of the most beautiful homes in the city. Best enjoyed by bicycle, but feel free to enjoy the scenic ride by car too.
