On her way to their first date, Stephanie felt equal parts excited and nervous. As she drove, she prayed, asking God to calm her nerves and, if Josh was meant to be her person, to send a little sign of His goodness. From the moment they met, conversation flowed effortlessly. It felt as though they had known each other for years. After a wonderful dinner filled with laughter and easy conversation, they asked for the check- only to be told that a stranger had already paid their entire bill. This surprise wasn’t a coincidence, but a sweet reminder of God’s love and provision- and the beautiful beginning of forever. That same summer, Josh invited Stephanie to join his family on their annual trip to Newfound Lake, New Hampshire- a trip he cherished deeply and was thrilled to share with her for the first time. During that visit, he canoed them out onto the lake, and with a smile full of certainty, told her that one day he would propose to her there. On July 22, 2025, during a beautiful golden hour and surrounded by family, he kept that promise. On the very same lake where his father had once proposed to his mother, Josh got down on one knee and asked Stephanie to be his wife. And of course, she said yes.
