We met just after COVID through a mutual friend, back when life was starting up again and none of us really knew what we were doing yet. We dated briefly, realized the timing wasn’t quite right, and decided to stay friends instead - a decision that turned out to be pretty important. What followed were years of easy conversations via Instagram messages, subtle flirting, and a connection that never fully went away. Then around Christmas time 2023, everything finally clicked. The timing fell into place, the flirting turned serious, and our friendship grew into something unmistakably more, things moved quickly and we were soon collecting the keys to our first house together, a home that is filled with so much love and laughter. In September 2025 after returning home from a family trip to South Africa, very tired, but very happy, we headed out for a dog walk in the Cotswolds, close to where we’ve both made our home. It was there, surrounded by open fields and with a wagging tail nearby that a long-awaited proposal finally happened. It was a perfect private moment and the answer was of course an enthusiastic yes! We now can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
