We have social booking links available for three local hotels: the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel, the Residence Inn by Marriott Portsmouth Downtown/Waterfront, and the AC Hotel Portsmouth Downtown/Waterfront. Yes! While the wedding ceremony and reception will be taking place at Wentworth by the Sea Hotel, we know that many of our guests will choose to stay at various hotels in downtown Portsmouth. For those interested, we have arranged for shuttle bus service to pick up guests at the Residence Inn by Marriott Portsmouth Downtown/Waterfront on Deer Street and depart for the wedding ceremony at 2:45 PM. Transportation back to the Residence Inn will also be provided starting at 8:00 PM and following the conclusion of the wedding reception. Please see our "Schedule" page for more information.
Our wedding ceremony and reception have a dress code of "cocktail" attire, which may consist of a suit and tie, blouse and dress pants, or a knee-length, tea-length, midi or floor-length dress with sensible shoes. Be sure that whatever you choose to wear, you'll be comfortable enough to join us on the dance floor!
Our wedding ceremony will be an “unplugged” event, meaning that we kindly ask guests to please refrain from taking pictures or videos until after the ceremony has concluded. We will have wonderful photographers on site capturing every moment and we will be sure to share these photos with guests following the wedding!
We love your little ones, but we have decided to keep our wedding to an adults-only event.
When you receive your invitation, it will list each member of your family/party who is invited. Guests who have been allotted a plus one will be able to RSVP for themselves and their guest on our wedding website.
