Owen and Nicole have known of each other since 2023, but it wasn't until the summer of '25 that they officially spent time together. Nicole first saw Owen at Open Door Christian Academy during a basketball game where their schools played against each other. Owen also noticed Nicole, but neither of them thought anything of it. They continued to keep tabs on one another through social media. Owen and Nicole shared a mutual friend, and when Nicole hung out with him over the summer, Owen was encouraged to finally meet Nicole. They immediately clicked and spent most of the rest of their summer together, playing basketball, paddleboarding and stargazing at Mt. Hood. Owen made their relationship official on August 3rd. They continued to attend college together at Grand Canyon University for a short time before returning home to prioritize their family and future.
