Nathan and Andrea met in New York on their way to France on a Pilgrimage in March 2020 a month that we all remember quite well. Nathan knew right away he wanted to pursue Andrea. Andrea will deny it, but she had a crush from the start. Nate even told her twin sister Gianna that he wanted to pursue her while in a little French hotel! From that point on, it was 3 years of long distance dating, road trips, love and laughter. There’s nothing stronger than their Catholic faith in Christ. These two love spending their time with close loved ones, traveling, throwing a football around or playing volleyball. There’s not one sport they wouldn’t do together unless it has to do with Nathan and ice-skating… On a serious note these two have a true passion for marriage and family life. They are so ready to enter into their God given roles as man and woman, to raise up little saints, and journey towards Heaven. A note from the couple: We thank each and every one of you who will come celebrate this sacrament of Holy Matrimony with us. We cannot wait to be married! Just as you are all in ours, please keep us in your prayers as we await this big day! With love, Nate and Ange
Nate and I had just ended our Christmas vacation in Vero Beach, Florida to visit some friends of ours. On that trip, Nathan took me on the most romantic date I've ever had in my life. What made it most special were four sweet letters. Now, when we had first met on our mission trip to France - Our mission trip director, Leah - had us write two letters on this trip. One to our future selves and the other to someone you met on the trip. This was a complete work of the Holy Spirit because I was not thinking about Nate in "that" way, but I wrote to him! And to my surprise, Nathan wrote to me as well. I always wondered when we would get those letters back. At the start of that date night in Vero Beach he started to retell the story on how these letters came to be. Once he pulled them out - I lost it. It was the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me. He went out of his way and took us back to the beginning of our story with four little letters. We read them together, smiled, and laughed - at the innocence and pureness of friendship - not knowing where it would lead us today as a couple. After three years, I didn't think I could continue to fall more in love with this sweet Mississippi man. We ended the night with a walk on the beach. I MEAN, C'MON - 13 year old, Nicholas Sparks obsessed Ange would only dream! I for sure thought he was going to propose that night, but it wasn’t until we arrived at the condo in Burlington, Wisconsin for Christmas Eve with my family. We had just prayed a Rosary in the car and started reminiscing on our favorite memories together. Then, as we walked into the condo lobby, I saw a picture of me on the ground...followed by many pictures laid out - leading up to a Christmas tree FULL of pictures from the past three years. Sitting in front of the tree was a small table with a book Nate made for me of our whole relationship (each having a funny pun/caption to go along with it, of course) that he gifted me as a deployment welcome home gift. Lastly, there was that tiny little box - and Nathan got down on one knee - the easiest "yes" of my life.
