What are the best accommodations?

Answer

We highly recommend the hotels listed in our travel section. However, Lake George region is home to some unbelievably beautiful AirBNBs and VRBOs. Check them out! There WILL be LIMITED accommodations at The Erlowest (our venue) on a first come, first served basis.

We are flying in! What is the best airport to fly into?

Answer

Albany is your best bet. Uber/Lyft is within distance, but car rentals also available.

If we are showing up Friday or Saturday, what should we do to occupy time?

Answer

Lake George is America's original vacationland! There is so much to do in the area: Stroll downtown historic Lake George Village, and grab a bite to eat at either The Lagoon, or The Lighthouse, both with views over the lake! Pick some apples! Season will be in full swing, and whether you pick a bushel, or buy a pie, don't miss out on what some many New Yorkers rave about. Catch some rays! Lake George has a spectacular public beach so lay in the sun and grab some color before the ceremony. Discover The Stone Bridge and Caves in Pottersville, NY; a Politi family favorite! Dive into the suds, and check out breweries in the area including Bolton Landing Brewing (just north on 9), Adirondack Brewing (Downtown LG) or take a short drive to Paradox Brewing in Paradox, Common Roots in Glen's Falls. Golf with the Groom, Sam plans to play golf in the AM at world class course, The Sagamore. Rated top 10 golf courses in America; designed by Donald Ross. Those interested please reach out to Sam directly. Golf without the Groom! Play at other beautiful local public courses in the area on either Friday or Saturday. Dinner? Look no further than Mario's Italian! The Politi family has been dining here for over 60 years. Literally! Pops used to come here when he was a child, and then like a rite of passage, brought Olivia and I along when were kids.

Mario's is a Politi family staple for 60 years. Excellent dinner spot. Thinking something High End? The Chateau (short ride North on 9N) Antonio's Bayside Bistro (around lake on 9L) Looking for affordable, delicious food? Adirondack Pub and Brewery. We need to visit a brewery! Any suggestions?

If you have a car Sam strongly suggests checking out: Common Roots Brewing Company, Glens Falls, NY Bolton Landing Brewing, Bolton Landing, NY Paradox Brewing, Paradox, NY Battle Hill Brewing, Fort Ann, NY No Car? No Problem! Adirondack Brewing and 163 Taproom are located downtown LG and within walking distance from all accommodations except the Erlowest.

Are we allowed to record or take pictures doing the ceremony?

We kindly ask that you refrain from using ANY cameras or phones during our ceremony. Please enjoy the moment with us. Reception and After Party? Pictures and videos welcome!

New York Wineries are a must see! Where can we visit one?

Answer

Adirondack Winery has a tasting room/shop right in downtown LG! But if you are looking for the more "hands on" experience, you can visit their operations just south in Queensbury! Ledge Rock Hill Winery is another picturesque, bucolic option just south of LG, at 1776 Route 9.
