Are the locations for the Ceremony and Reception the same?

Answer

Ceremony will be held at the Pond. Reception will be held on the upper NorthEast Patio. Both locations are held on the Thornton Winery property.

Is the ceremony outside?

Answer

Yes. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Production Room, onsite.

Is the reception inside?

Answer

No. Originally we were planning on having it inside the private banquet room but have decided to host the reception outside, This will give you all enough room to spread out and be comfortable. Having it outside will also give us ample space to dance the night away! Please bring a light jacket in case the mid-October weather turns chilly in the evening.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes to both! The Winery has ample parking on property.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 6pm. Please be seated by 5:45pm. You should probably plan to arrive by 5:30pm.

What happens after the Ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around thirty minutes. Guests can head straight to the Upper NorthEast Patio where we will be serving appetizers and beverages.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.  Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What is the evenings menu?

Dinner Buffet to Include: Thornton’s Freshly Baked Baguettes & Butter. Cafe Champagne Salad -Mixed Field Greens, Spiced Pecans, Gorgonzola Cheese, Golden Raisins, & Champagne Vinaigrette. Chateau Salad- Bibb Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Carrot, Red Onion, & House-made Ranch Dressing. Choice of: Champagne Poached Salmon with Dijon-Chive Sauce or Grilled Top Sirloin with Marchand de Vin Sauce. Please select preferred entree with your RSVP. Garlic Herb Roasted Fingerling Potatoes. Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables. Because Love is Sweet Dessert Station: Chocolate Mouse, Creme Brulee, Tiramisu, & Traditional Wedding Cake.

Will there be a hosted bar?

Yes, Award-Winning Thornton Wine and Champagne. Local Craft Beer. Iced tea, assorted soft drinks, bottled water and coffee.
