What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at 4:45pm to be seated in time for the ceremony. A complimentary shuttle service will transport guests to and from The Godfrey Hotel. For those who drive themselves, complimentary valet will be available at the Country Club of Detroit.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black tie preferred. Formal attire is encouraged, however please come in whatever makes you feel comfortable and most ready to celebrate!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we respectfully request that our wedding be an adults-only occasion. We hope this allows you a night to relax and celebrate with us!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

A block of rooms have been reserved for guests at The Godfrey Hotel. Please visit the link under the Travel tab to book a room.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a food allergy, please email the mother of the bride, Jeanne Poleski, by May 27, 2026 at jmpoleski3@gmail.com.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Complimentary valet parking will be provided at the Country Club of Detroit.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

A complimentary shuttle service will be available to guests for transportation to and from the Country Club of Detroit, the location of the ceremony and reception.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please join us at the rooftop lounge of The Godfrey Hotel on the evening of Friday, June 26th for welcome cocktails and light bites with the bride and groom. Please see the welcome event under the Schedule tab for more details.

Will the ceremony be unplugged?

Answer

We love your smiles, not your screens! Per our photographer's request, please put away phones and cameras during our ceremony. Our photographer will be working hard to capture our special day and we can't wait to share the photos with you!
