Our Story

In December 2021, Jacob and Sabrina met on a dating app as many couples do now. After a few weeks of chatting (and realizing neither was a catfish), we decided to meet in person. After one accidental coffee date stand up, our first date was at Bierkeller—a restaurant that Jacob picked and apparently does not like. We were both a little nervous, but within minutes, the conversation was effortless, the laughs genuine, and the connection felt natural. Sabrina knew after one date that this would be something special. A few days later, we found ourselves back at Bierkeller —because one night wasn’t enough at a restaurant you don't care for. From that point, everything unfolded beautifully. Texts turned into phone calls, weekends turned into traditions, and soon, we were building a life full of love, humor, and adventure. Now, we’re getting married (!) and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you who have cheered us on from the very beginning. This is just the start of our forever—and we’re so glad you’re part of it.

Our Engagement

It was a perfect day for a hike—blue skies, crisp air, and Lake Michigan stretching endlessly in the distance. Sabrina even got a quick cat nap in and promised there would be no attitude! We set out on a trail near Snug Harbor, not knowing it would become a moment we’d never forget. After a peaceful trek through the trees with Sabrina barely even complaining, we reached a quiet overlook with a breathtaking view of the lake and some great trees behind us. As we paused to take it all in, Jacob turned to Sabrina, heart racing, and got down on one knee asking her to marry him. He wanted to take her to the prettiest place he could think of. With the waves below and the sky above, he asked the question that would change everything. After Sabrina awkwardly yelled "stop" (and then a very enthusiastic “yes!”), we got engaged surrounded by nature, our dog Beretta, and a whole lot of love. Jacob told almost no one about his plans and surprised everyone. It was simple, beautiful, and perfectly us.
