Ryan and Anna managed to grow up side by side without ever "officially" crossing paths. They attended Mount and Catholic (all-girls and all-boys schools down the street from one another) but never met until years later. After attending school at the University of Arkansas and Ole Miss, they both moved back to Little Rock. A mutual friend of their moms - Anna's mom's roommate after college and a long-time co-worker of Ryan’s mom - decided it was time they met. She texted Ryan's mom to tell her about Anna and left the rest up to Ryan. Ryan was hoping to find a more authentic way to meet and hesitated to make a move until that moment happened. So, Anna took a leap and slid into his Instagram DMs a few months later. Anna suggested just about any way to spend time together "coffee, dinner, get outside, or anything!". Ryan took her to Heights Taco and Tamale followed by Ciao Baci for wine a few days later. After meeting, they quickly realized there were more common threads on their path. For five years, Anna babysat two little twin girls (now junior bridesmaids) a few houses down from Ryan's mom. She pushed them in the stroller around the neighborhood, and Ryan remembers seeing what he thought was a young mom with twins. One thing about their relationship they cherish is the amount of adventure they find with each other. Ryan tested this on the second date when he had a hike planned with a grotto waterfall after. He texted Anna to “bring a swimsuit!” for the hike. He wanted to see if she could hang. Now they find adventure just about anywhere - their home state backyard, Banff, Canada, or one of the many places they hope to visit off their bucket list travel spots together. Early on, Ryan was upfront about his plans to leave Arkansas for his residency training. Although Anna didn't imagine leaving Arkansas, as time went on, she couldn't imagine not being by Ryan's side, wherever that may be. They will be starting their marriage in their new city of Nashville, TN and can't wait for the adventure ahead! They are excited to see God's plan for their life continue to unfold together.
