Kurtis and Sabrina met in early 2023 through mutual friends. At the time, she was living with those friends, and Kurtis would often come by on weekends for get-togethers. She wasn’t looking for anything serious, but there was just something about him. Depending on who you ask, the “first move” is up for debate — she says it was when he asked for her number one day, he says it was when she made him breakfast that morning. What they both agree on is that he won her over with his cheesy pickup lines, which he used to ask her out on their very first date. After that, the two quickly became inseparable, spending every weekend driving back and forth between Red Deer and Bashaw. Before long, Sabrina moved to Bashaw in the summer with their friends. Making the commute much easier! That winter, they moved in together — and they’ve been building a life full of laughter, love, and adventures ever since.
