Things To Do

The first residents of Whatcom County were North Coast Indians, who enjoyed the bountiful seafood in local rivers and tidelands. And, since 1900, when the first Hollanders arrived, Lynden has been predominantly Dutch. Whatcom County is known for its beautiful trails, fresh raspberries, and seafood. The area is decorated by the beautiful Mt. Baker, Birch Bay, Whatcom Falls Park, and Lake Padden. Below are some of our favorite places in the area. Be sure to check them out! :)
Whatcom Falls Park

Whatcom Falls Park

1401 Electric Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98229
, (360) 778-7000

We had wonderful memories and time with outside nature here! Highly recommended, beginner-friendly trail with a lot of interesting sights to see. 🌳

New Song Church

New Song Church

4600 Guide Meridian Road, Bellingham, WA 98226
, (360) 389-3161

If you are staying on Sunday (July 6), give New Song Church a try! Their service times can be seen on their website / Instagram. PS: Ps. Taylor Simpson is the one officiating our wedding.

Oasis Spa Northwest

Oasis Spa Northwest

210 3rd Street, Lynden, WA 98264
, (360) 319-3248

Oasis Day Spa is right next to Downtown Lynden. If you happen to arrive early (ie: July 3), we highly recommend spending half-day at this self-serve Day Spa. They offer Infrared sauna, rejuvenating Snacks, Massage Chairs, Salt Room, and more! :)

Eucatastrophe Coffee & Books

Eucatastrophe Coffee & Books

515 Front Street, Lynden, WA 98264
, (360) 354-2471

A quaint, charming local coffeeshop complete with interesting used books right at the center of the historic Lynden Downtown. It's a cute place for a date and their London Fog is the best!

HFIT Homestead Fitness Center, Gym & Indoor Pool

HFIT Homestead Fitness Center, Gym & Indoor Pool

115 East Homestead Boulevard, Lynden, WA 98264
, (360) 354-1196

We spent a lot of time going to this gym. It's a well equipped gym with weights room, indoor pool, jacuzzi, and cardio machines. Its Pass is $15 for the day.

Avenue Bread - Lynden

Avenue Bread - Lynden

444 Front Street, Lynden, WA 98264
, (360) 354-1569

Avenue Bread has another branch in Bellingham, WA, as well, but this one has a special charm as it is connected to The Lynden Inn and Village Books and Paper Dreams. We highly recommend their brunch menu items! 🤍

Lake Padden

Lake Padden

4882 Samish Way, Bellingham, WA

Lake Padden Park is open from 6 AM to 10 PM daily- It's perfect if you're looking for an enjoyable morning exercise as it's an easy loop around the lake! :)

For all the days along the way
