The celebration is at The Envio in Portsmouth, NH. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 3:00 pm. Check out the Schedule page for complete details.
Yes, I would call it "dressy but relaxed". No need for tuxedos and ball gowns, but feel free to find whatever balance between semi-formal attire and comfortable clothing for an indoor/outdoor summer event that works for you. And if country western styles are your thing, this is also welcomed.
Bear with me as I am still working on this part of the website. If you got a save the date, consider yourself invited. Once I get the guest list finalized, you should get a notification to RSVP on the wedding website. Let me know if I can assist with any technical difficulties. If you would like to bring someone who is not already on the guest list, please let me know ASAP. We would love to accommodate, but this will be an intimate family/friend event.
We will be having a buffet dinner, but yes, when you RSVP please inform us of any allergies or preferences so we can notify the venue. We can also provide separate kids' meals so the kiddos don't have to eat yucky grown up food.
You can stay at the hotel where we are hosting the wedding: AC Hotel Portsmouth Downtown. This would be the most convenient, but more expensive option. We do not have a block of reserved rooms for guests. There are plenty of other lodging options in Portsmouth and the nearby Maine coastal areas. Summer is a busy time on the coast so you may want to book early. Check out the Travel page for a link to hotels in the area. If you are looking for a more affordable option, we have stayed many times at the hotels just north of the Portsmouth traffic circle (Anchorage Inn, Holiday Inn Portsmouth). These are probably your best prices and are just a short drive away from downtown. Sharing a larger rental from VRBO or Airbnb would also be something to look into.
There is valet parking available at the venue. You can also look for on-street or private parking in the area. The Foundry Place Garage is an affordable option if you don't mind a short walk (6 minutes/0.3 miles according to Google). Parking in Portsmouth can be a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, the area is very walkable, so once you find your spot, you should be all set should you choose to explore before or after the event. Depending on where you stay, some hotels have local shuttle services. You can also use Uber, but I cannot personally vouch for their availability.
Portsmouth is a charming seaside town known for its rich history, vibrant arts scene, and picturesque waterfront. Visitors can explore cobblestone streets lined with boutique shops, local breweries, and award-winning restaurants, or enjoy outdoor activities like strolling along Prescott Park and taking harbor cruises. With its blend of New England charm and modern amenities, Portsmouth offers something for everyone, making it a perfect destination for a memorable celebration. We personally enjoy walking Downtown and checking out the little shops and restaurants. The Portsmouth Gas Light and The Thristy Moose are good places to grab some food and often have live music. The Friendly Toast is also a solid option for breakfast (join the waitlist on Yelp). Weather permitting, it is also fun to check out the park or some of the local beaches. -Portsmouth Links- https://www.portsmouthnh.com/ https://www.goportsmouthnh.com/
We do have a small registry linked above. The items in the registry are just suggestions. Your presence at the wedding is the best gift!
