Below are some of our favorite places in the area. Top of the list starts with activities , followed by our favorite places to eat and drink.

Drive through the Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest to the end of Hwy 542 for expansive mountain views and access to several hiking trails. On the way, stop at picture lake for a selfie and The North Fork Brewery for a slice of pizza.

Artist Point

Great spot for a beautiful, flat 2.5 mile hike around a lake. We are planning to swim/ hang out here Friday morning.

Lake Padden

Quick walk to a local waterfall. The park is connected to a web of trails to explore.

Whatcom Falls Park

Search for harbor seals as you walk along the seaside boardwalk from Fairhaven to Boulevard Park.

Boulevard Park

Visit this south side community in Bellingham for historic buildings and fun shops. Filled with cafes, pubs, and views. Check out Cafe Blue for a morning coffee and snack!

Shopping in historical Fairhaven

Dozens of local venders offering farm goods, art, food, and entertainment meet in downtown Bellingham on Saturdays 10am - 2pm.
