How we met

Chris and Amanda actually met back in 2011. It was a Saturday night in Boston at a bar called "Whiskey Priest" (which they later named their dog after). They began chatting each other up, and by the end of the evening Chris was asking Amanda out on a date. Unfortunately, due to some earlier day drinking, when asked, Chris could no longer remember Amanda's name. Amanda took off for the evening, and Chris was left without a number. The next day, Amanda's phone rang, and low & behold it was Chris, who with a little investigating, found that number and was calling to apologize. From there, they went on to a first Date at Del Frisco's and dated through the Summer. Though things didn't last then, they stayed in touch and maintained a friendship over the years. When Amanda moved back to Boston in 2017, they found their paths crossing once more, but this time it was for good!

Wedding Update

The past few months have certainly been challenging for Chris and I. Sadly, at the end of April, we lost Chris' brother, Eric, unexpectedly. As many of you know, he was an amazing single father, and with our family's loss, Chris and I stepped in to take on the responsibility of raising his precious daughter Lily. This turn of events in our lives led us to have to make some decisions regarding our future and our upcoming wedding. In wanting to give 100% of our focus and effort to becoming the best parents we can be, we knew in our hearts this meant doing it as a married couple. With that said, Chris and I ultimately made the decision to cancel our wedding scheduled for the Fall. We were married in a private ceremony, on the day we met, 9 years ago, in May. One of our best friends, Hayley, assisted while her brother Nathaniel performed the service. Chris and I exchanged vows at the construction site, of our now finished home. Our new neighbors, having heard our story, created a gorgeous space, complete with a sparkler send off! Since the pandemic kept our immediate families from being with us, they watched via Zoom. Afterwards, we capped off the evening with a dinner as a couple at Del Frisco's. It was simple, sentimental, and as perfect as we could have ever imagined. We want to thank each and every one of you who has reached out and who continue to support us in this journey in our new life together. While many may have found our decision to be a difficult one, it was the easiest decision we could have ever made, as we love Lily beyond words. At the end of June, we all moved into our new home just in time for the 4th of July holiday. Lily has been making a new friend, what seems like every day, having fun at the pool, and cuddling with one of the four pets in the house as much as possible. We are thinking of all of you during this time in our world, and hope to celebrate the 1st year anniversary of all these milestones at our home next year!
