Zak & Heidi initially met online in the fall of 2014. After talking for a few months Zak asked for Heidi's phone number and eventually a first date. Weeks of dating turned into months. In the Spring of 2015 Zak met Heidi's family and Heidi met Zak's family. The long distance relationship continued. February 2016, Zak moved to Elyria, found a job & they began to settle into their new rhythm of life together. Fast forward to Christmas Eve, 2018.... Zak and Heidi spent the entire day together which was a rarity during such a busy time of year. Zak treated Heidi to a fancy lunch (at the restaurant his family would go to for special occasions when he was a child). Later that evening they opened gifts and stockings. At the very end of the gift exchange Zak held a ring in his hand and had the most surprising question to ask... Just like Heidi's Dad had asked her Mom exactly 50 years earlier. The night was special by including what are now traditions from both the Folley's and Morey's. The night ended with a beautiful Midnight mass where two very happy, thankful, people knew their adventure together was just beginning....
