We met the way all true love starts these days... on a dating app! It all started with a "swipe right!" It only took us a day on the app to find each other and start chatting. Zach, the adorable dork that he is, opened the conversation with two poems and Caitlin ate that up! Zach asked Caitlin to dinner the following weekend, but after two days of chatting, we both decided to test the chemistry in person instead of putting it off. Zach walked into the downtown Denver bar and was immediately stunned. Greeting Caitlin, the only words that came to him were, “Wow, you’re cute!”. Luckily, he composed himself for the next four hours of chatting. We couldn’t stop smiling at each other as we delved deeper and deeper into the conversation. Four more dates followed within the week and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

Zach started the very difficult task of planning a surprise for Caitlin early in the summer. If you know Caitlin well, you know she is AWFUL with surprises and hates them. Zach is not the most subtle man, so when he asked Caitlin about a fancy date night in the same area of their first date, she had her suspicions. On Friday, August 7th, 2020, Zach and Caitlin ate outside on a lovely pandemic night. Larimer Square was lit up with as much joy as possible behind the masks. This is where the real surprise began! We “ran into” a friend who was taking pictures “for her portfolio." She asked, politely, if we’d be willing to pose and give her a few pictures of couples. Caitlin, having done some modeling, got into it. Little did she know that the “accident” of running into our friend was all part of Zach’s plan. Larimer Square was well decorated, and under a banner of “Together Starts Here," Zach dropped to one knee. Caitlin’s eyes started flowing, but through the muffled tears you could definitely hear her say, “You Shit!” The good news is that she followed that with a “Yes! Absolutely!” The people of Larimer Square finished off the night by applauding the happy couple!
