Take a quick drive north on Lake Shore Drive to see beautiful Wrigley Field and bar hop around Wrigleyville. From Murphy's, to Old Crow, to Sluggers, to Houndstooth, there isn't a spot in Wrigleyville that we haven't spent many days and nights with friends and family. Not to mention the fact that this is where we first met up again back in 2016.
River North is one of the most lively nightlife scenes in the city. Located just north of the Chicago River, a great spot to start is the corner of Hubbard Street & Clark Street. A few spots that we've spent countless nights are Bub City, Boss Bar, and El Hefe. If you're looking for an underground tiki bar, check out Three Dots and a Dash. If you're more in the mood for a hole in the wall, then head to Snickers!
The West Loop is loaded with fantastic bars and restaurants, including some of the most popular newer restaurants the city has to offer. The corner of Randolph Street & Green Street is a great spot to start venturing around. Green Street Meats and Au Cheval are incredible barbeque and burger spots. Cruz Blanca is a great brewery owned by Rick Bayless. Parlor Pizza is a fun coal fire pizza spot. If you're looking for a great time, check out Federales!
Staying along the lines of the historic Millenium Knickerbocker Hotel, you could head north to the Green Mill if you'd like to check out another one of Al Capone's favorite spots. There are secret tunnels behind the bar that lead underground for Al Capone's signature escapes.
