Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts
Whether choosing Shake Rag Alley’s 2.5-acre outdoor oasis of gardens and tree-lined paths, the outdoor Alley Stage amphitheater, or renovated mid-century Quonset hut reborn as the modern Lind Pavilion for the setting of your special event, magical memories await you at Shake Rag Alley.
The House on the Rock
Sixty+ years ago, the doors of Alex Jordan’s dream house opened to the public. Since that time, the displays have grown into an unusual, amazing, and exotic world-famous collection. Three separate tours are offered March-November, with special nighttime experiences in October, and a spectacular Christmas transformation mid-November through December.
Taliesin Preservation: Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Taliesin is the home, studio, school, and 800-acre agricultural estate of Frank Lloyd Wright. A variety of tours are offered. Booking tours in advance is highly recommended. Discover more about the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright in programs offered for all ages.
Hooks Cheese Co
A trip to Wisconsin is not complete without cheese. We have some of the best right here in Mineral Point. The Hooks make over 50 varieties of cheese and have won many national and world championships.
American Wine Project
A nationally-recognized winery focusing on crafting low-intervention wines from locally sourced, cold-climate hybrid grapes. Winemaker Erin Rasmussen has worked extensively in the Napa and Sonoma counties in California. An inviting, family-friendly destination for great wine and beer, small plate food choices, community events, and a beautiful patio and outdoor garden.
Commerce Street Brewery
European-styled brewpub, housed in a 1850s-era landmark building. The pub features conscientiously prepared and sourced traditional pub fare alongside our house beers, craft cocktails, and hand-selected wines. Check online or call for current hours.
Pointer Cafe
If you’re in the mood for an afternoon breakfast or want a delicious piece of pie, Suzy’s Pointer Café is the place. This traditional family diner offers daily specials, pasty, sandwiches, and homemade soups.
Red Rooster Cafe
The Rooster has been serving traditional pasty, figgy hobbin and other Cornish specialties for over three generations. This downtown diner has a full menu of sandwiches, daily specials, and pies. Gather around the counter or grab a table and order your favorite. Open 7 days a week
Tony's Tap
You will find a winning combination at Tony’s—great food and friendly service! Burgers, daily lunch specials, and Friday Fish Fry, plus all your favorite drinks. Located just across the street from the Mineral Point Depot with direct access to the Cheese Country Trail.
Café 43 Coffeehouse
A gathering place for good food, friends, and great coffee! Serving gourmet, scratch-made breakfast offerings, soups, sandwiches, quiche, pastries, curated regional coffee, and a number of beverages brewed or crafted in Wisconsin.
