Aaron: My family and I started attending the St. Albans Congregation in February of 2022 where we first met over Zoom, but we really didn't get to know one another. When the Kingdom Halls opened back up in April, that's when we first met in person. For the first few meetings, it was easy to observe that Francesca stood out as a hard-working sister who was zealous for the ministry, and willing to assist the friends in any way she could. In May, while working at the sound box getting ready for the meeting, she approached me to ask for my number, (we both agree she asked for my number first, but disagree as to what her real reason was) since she wanted the numbers of all the elders in the congregation. Granted, I gave her my phone so she can enter her information. Shortly thereafter, we would only text if there was an issue with Zoom. But over the summer, it became clear to me Francesca was different - whether it was assisting the friends in the ministry, aiding the older friends with their tablets and being willing to do any assignments the brothers asked. I wanted to get to know her better, but wasn't sure how! After a lot of research and prayer, I worked up the courage and asked Francesca to get to know her better - without hesitation, she said yes! Francesca: When Aaron and his family first came to the congregation, I noticed he was VERY SERIOUS and about his theoretic business. At the same time, he was kind when dealing with others. Seeing how he took the lead in different activities made me a little interested. (Disclaimer: I have everyone's number in the congregation) One day I wanted to ask Aaron for his phone number while he was working on audio/visual before the meeting. I was nervous because I didn't want to seem like I was making a move. So I prayed and just approached him. He just gave me his phone and unlocked it so that I could put my number in. He made no eye contact! I didn't think he would be interested in the slightest. So, I continued living my best life. On another occasion, Aaron was giving me direction for the ministry. One of my closest friends came up to me after and said ... "Don't be upset! I don't know how you feel but I have to say it. The way that Aaron looks at you - only my husband looks at me like that." That was the start of report after report of the way he looks at me. So I did some research and spoke to my many spiritual fathers. They all had the same conclusion - "he's observing you... let him, and if it's Jehovah's will...it will happen." After hearing that 20 times, I prayed and trusted in Jehovah, not my heart. However, I prayed specifically on how I wanted to be asked out, which was in person and direct. That's exactly what Aaron did! So, I knew it was from Jehovah. His kind, charming, funny, understanding, and compassionate personality continues to amaze me.
