English Bay Beach
Lovely beach and ocean side walkway close to Stanley Park. Lots of restaurants and sites to take in nearby.
Whistler
An hour and a half North of Vancouver lies world famous Whistler, an outdoor mecca with trails, gondolas, biking, hiking/walking, and shopping. A stunning drive to do in a day from Vancouver!
Grouse Mountain
One of our favorite places and very close to the city. Taking the gondola up costs about $55 Canadian return but the views and things to do up top are worth it. The adventurous types can do the Grouse Grind hike - basically a 2 hour step master machine - to burn off some pre or post wedding calories.
Prospect Point Lookout, Stanley Park
A beautiful place to visit to enjoy views of the North Shore mountains and Lion's Gate Bridge located within Stanley Park.
Granville Island Public Market
Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping district in Vancouver. It is located across False Creek from Downtown Vancouver under the south end of the Granville Street Bridge. The island has multiple theaters with live performances as well.
Seattle
Seattle is about a 4 hour train ride or a 3 hour bus ride away, even faster if you're driving! Trains and buses are about $40 CAD if you book early.
Banff
Definitely one of the most beautiful places in Canada. In October the lakes are just about to freeze so you can get beautiful reflections of the majestic mountains of this pristine national park. From Vancouver you can take a plane to Calgary where a car rental can take you to the national park in about 1 hour. Alternatively you can drive from Vancouver for about 10 hours to get to Banff. You can hit up wine valley Okanagan on the way!
Okanagan Lake
Canada's Nappa valley wine country. One of our favorite wineries is Little Straw Winery, fantastic wines with free wine tasting.
Sushi Garden Metro
Vancouver's best foods are actually Asian, this sushi place is one of our favorites for their cheap and fresh sashimi.
Hy's Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar
Excellent steakhouse, their Ceasar Salad totally blew our minds and we actually started making their recipe at home. Cheese bread is to die for too.
Lonsdale Quay Market
Where we live! It's a 12 min boat ride from downtown where you get a cute market, skating rink and restaurants with amazing water views of downtown. A lesser-known gem that we hope to keep a secret!
