FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as you know you are able to attend or not, please let us know! The sooner we know, the better. The final date to RSVP will be February 1st.

Question

How far is the ceremony from the reception?

Answer

Our ceremony is taking place at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Aledo TX, which is about a 20-25 minute drive from our reception at Tannahill's Tavern and Music Hall.

Question

How much time will there be between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We anticipate our ceremony lasting from 2-3 PM. Our cocktail hour will begin at 5. There will likely be about an hour of extra time in between these events. Thankfully, our reception venue is located in the heart of the Stockyards and there is lots to see while you wait for the reception to begin! This also will allow time for you to find parking or return to the hotel and freshen up before the evening.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

This will be an adults-only event (with the exception of our cousins who are in high school).

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We request that our guests wear cocktail attire. You are also more than welcome to wear your cowboy boots or hat to the reception! And it is probably obvious, but please do not wear a white dress.

Question

Do I have to attend the welcome party if I plan on attending the wedding?

Answer

Not at all! For our local friends that see us all the time, we know you will most likely be staying in Dallas and we do not expect you to make the drive to Fort Worth on Friday and Saturday. We planned a welcome party to help give us more time with our out-of-town friends and family so we are not as rushed on our wedding day. That being said, all are invited and more than welcome to attend if your schedule permits!

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

For the ceremony, our church has ample amounts of parking. For our reception, we highly recommend Ubering if possible since parking can be limited in the Stockyards. There is a large parking lot located next to Billy Bob's that is a short walk to the reception if you do choose to drive there (you will have to pay to park). If you plan to drink, PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE! We want all of our guests to have fun and celebrate safely.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have two room blocks at hotels in Downtown Fort Worth that can be found on the "Travel" section of our website. Staying in Downtown Fort Worth is significantly cheaper than staying in the Stockyards - but please feel free to stay wherever you'd like! If you have any questions about the area, please do not hesitate to reach out to the bride.
