Explore the Island of Ischia!
Mezzatorre provides motorcycles for the guests to explore the island. We had a wonderful time and were able to see the entire island this way. The motorcyle has a compartment under the seat where you can place your things - a detail Casey learned after flailing her Chanel in the wind for 30 minutes straight. If motorcycling is too risky (understandable) we recommend calling a taxi from the MZT lobby.
Castello Aragonese d'Ischia
Explore the beautiful castle of Ischia rich in history. Depending on the weather, we recommend going first thing in the morning or as the sun is setting to beat the heat. And wear comfortable walking shoes- it was a hike even for these two personal trainers!
Explore Sant'Angelo
About a 25-minute drive from Forio (where the wedding will be held) is the jewel of Sant'Angelo, where you can wander through charming pedestrian-only streets, relax on the beach, and enjoy stunning views over the turquoise sea. We enjoyed a lovely lunch at La Pirata down by the shore. You can take a taxi from the hotel and easily find a taxi from the town center of Sant'Angelo to get a ride back.
Gasparotto
Gelato in town is a MUST at least once during your trip in Italy (or every day if you are Casey). We love this gelato spot in the town of Laco Ameno, just a 5 minute drive from the hotel.
