New within the last 10 years, a cool science museum right on the outskirts of Hartford.

A quaint outdoor shopping center nearby the hotel with some great places to eat (that have full bars): Max Fish, The Simple Greek, Max Amore (Italian food), Chipotle, and J. Gilbert's across the street.
A little farther than the shopping center are more restaurants that are less expensive. On this street you have Panera, Diamond Pub and Grill, Plan B burger Bar, Bricco Trattoria, Ken's Corner Breakfast and Lunch and the New England Staple... Dunkin' Donuts.
