Around April of last year, I decided that I would go to Boston with Watkinsville First Baptist for the summer to parter with the North American Mission Board. During the summer, I would help lead a team of college students that would partner along side a local church planter in Boston. It wasn't until April that I decided I would go, whereas other team members had decided back in December. Thankfully, I did decide to go because that's where I met Jacob, who was also leading a team of college students with NAMB for the summer. We got to Boston at the beginning of June and came home in the middle/end of July. It wasn't until the middle/end of June that Jacob and I took interest in each other... or should I say he took interest in me ;) Neither one of us was in Boston to meet someone, and that was the last thing on our radars, but boy was he persistent. Although I was not originally for it, he pursued me persistently, showing me how Christ pursues the church. He loved me well, even in our friendship, and respected boundaries while we were still in Boston. It wasn't until we both got home from Boston that we officially started dating. After that, our love was like a wildfire, continuing to grow. We haven't gone longer than two weeks without seeing each other, which is pretty good since we're four hours away from each other. On January 5th, he asked me to be his wife, and I couldn't have answered an easier question. He loves me, leads me, and chooses me daily. I couldn't ask for a better partner for sharing the Gospel with, nor would I want to do life with anyone else! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
