Maid of Honor
Jess's Maid of Honor is her best friend, Megan. Megan and Jess have been friends since kindergarten but became best friends later in elementary school when their brothers started playing sports together. So much of their lives have been together - they went to school together from kindergarten all the way to college! Jess and Megan have shared so many memories and life experiences together that they rely on the other to help them remember events in their own lives! Jess and Megan have always considered each other to be the sister each of them never had and in middle school they named each other their future MOH. Well, the time has come for Megan to live up to her title! The thing Jess values most about Megan's friendship is that Megan is always there whenever Jess needs her.
Jack Shanahan
Best Man
Karl's Best Man is one of his best friends, Jack. Jack and Karl met on the second day of highschool back in 2010. They became friends while being tennis partners in first period PE, where they would end up winning the tennis championship! Jack, along with Karl’s other friend Matt, convinced Karl to play for the school's Ultimate Frisbee team. From this point on, Jack and Karl had no other choice but to become best friends. Between highschool and college, Jack and Karl would end up spending almost every single day together for the next eight years. Even rooming together for a year in college. Karl is very excited to have such a great friend like Jack stand next to him on his big day.
Sara Frye
Matron of Honor
Jess's Matron of Honor is her best friend, Sara. Jess and Sara met sophomore year of high school when they shared an American History class together. They bonded over many jokes in that class like... "that's a whole other ball of wax" and "'how did you get out here?!' 'the door'" - they have shared so many laughs together over the years that one of Jess's life goals is to make Sara pee her pants from laughing! One thing that Jess always looks forward to when Sara comes to visit is going to their favorite bar, 2 Fools Cider! Jess had the honor of being Sara's MOH and Jess can't wait for Sara to be by her side on her big day! The thing Jess values most about Sara's friendship is that Sara is a great listener and gives even better advice.
Jeremy Burril
Groomsman
Jeremy is one of Karl's Groomsman and is one of his best friends. Jeremy and Karl met in highschool, and became friends through mutual friends that they shared a lunch table with. Jeremy would later end up joining the Ultimate Frisbee team junior year of high school and the rest is history. Jeremy and Karl didn't become very close until college, where they played Ultimate Frisbee, and shared a house for 3 years. Jeremy and Karl both love to golf and during the summer will always play a round every couple of weeks. Jeremy is extremely loyal and this is what Karl values most about their friendship.
Kayla Duerr
Bridesmaid
Kayla is one of Jess's bridesmaids and they have been life long friends since kindergarten! Jess and Kayla quickly became friends growing up after Kayla's cleft lip/palette surgery because it was hard for peers to understand Kayla... but Jess could! Jess would help with the communication breakdown and ever since then they have been as close as sisters; Kayla's mom, Sally, even calls Jess her second daughter! Kayla moved in elementary school to a different school and Jess's dad hunted Kayla's family down just so Kayla could be invited to Jess’s birthday party. While Kayla and Jess haven't always seen each other as often as they like, they have always remained just as close and this is what Jess values most about Kayla's friendship - they always pick up right where they left off!
Chris Oesterreich
Groomsman
Chris is one of Karl's Groomsman, and is one of his best friends. Chris and Karl met in highschool through Ultimate Frisbee where they played on the same team for a couple of years. However, they didn't become best friends until college where they shared a dorm room together and then would share a house together for three years after that. Chris and Karl have very similar senses of humor, which if you know them, they can be a lot to handle when they are together. Chris and Karl always have a great time together and Karl is very excited to have Chris with him on his Wedding day.
Christina Harper
Bridesmaid
Christina is one of Jess's bridesmaids and they met at Illinois State! Both are Special Education majors and had classes together starting sophomore year. Christina and Jess quickly grew close and would arrange their schedules so they would have classes together. They were SO close that a classmate once came up to Jess and said "are you Christina?," Jess told her no and the girl replies "I always confuse who is who because you're ALWAYS together!" Jess and Christina look nothing alike but they were inseparable! Christina and Jess don't live close to each other but they always make it a point to see each other whenever they're in town. The thing Jess values most about Christina's friendship is how open she is and that she's not afraid to speak her mind (a lot like Jess)!
Matt Siebach
Groomsman
Matt is one of Karl's Groomsman, and is Karl's oldest friend. They became friends in 8th grade because they had several classes together and would consistently get sent to the hall during class for laughing at jokes the other would crack. Matt, along with Jack, convinced Karl to play for Neuqua's Ultimate Frisbee team, but then Matt backed out at the last second and decided to play Volleyball instead. Karl still doesn't forgive him for this. Matt went to college in Utah, and lives in Utah now, so they don't get to see each other very often any more but remain very close. Karl is very excited to have his oldest friend with him on his big day.
Erin Beck
Bridesmaid
Erin is one of Jess's bridesmaids and is Karl's oldest sister! Erin has the biggest heart (Erin will probably cry while reading this), is so outgoing, is always willing to help and has a great sense of humor! Since Erin met Jess, she has always made her best effort to make Jess feel welcome at any and all family gatherings. It is always a great time when they are together, many laughs and drinks are always shared! While they may not be sisters by blood, Jess is THRILLED to be gaining a SIL like Erin! The thing Jess values the most about Erin's friendship is their mutual passion for living a sustainable lifestyle and her warm heart!
Dom Peluso
Groomsman
Dom is one of Karl's Groomsman and is one of his best friends. Dom and Karl met in high school through Jack. They played ultimate frisbee together and quickly became best friends due to their similar senses of humor. Dom went to Iowa for college but they would often go on trips to visit each other at school. Dom is very laid back, and no matter how long it has been since they have seen each other they always pick up right where they left off.
Jennifer Kizorek
Bridesmaid
Jennifer is one of Jess's bridesmaids and is Karl's older sister! Jess's favorite memory of Jennifer is on Jess and Karl's one month anniversary dinner, he sent a picture of Jess to his sisters. Jennifer, being the proud big sister she is, saved this picture and showed all her friends - she still has the picture to this day! Jess and Jennifer are constantly mistaken for each other and it's a running joke that Jess could be a Beck sister! Jennifer is very caring and is always willing to listen and give advice. While they may not be sisters by blood, Jess is THRILLED to be gaining a SIL like Jennifer! The thing Jess values the most about Jennifer's friendship is her seasoned advice and caring personality!
John Kizorek
Groomsman
John is one of Karl’s Groomsmen and is Karl’s BIL! Karl and John quickly became close when Jennifer started bringing him around due to their similar interests and hobbies like, sports and video games. Karl was one of the Groomsman in John and Jennifer's wedding back in 2017. One of Karl's favorite memories with John was when Jennifer and him came down to ISU to visit Karl for parents weekend because Margie and Marty were out of town. They went on a little shopping spree at Target and walked around the entire store in costumes they found while walking in. Spontaneous moments like this is what Karl values about their friendship.
Jordan Piske
Bridesmaid
Jordan is one of Jess's bridesmaids, Jess's SIL and the mother to Jess’s nephew, Hudson, who is the ring bearer! Jordan does not have siblings of her own and when she officially became a Piske she immediately excitedly shared “I have siblings!” Jordan has integrated herself into the family and Jess is so thankful to have a SIL like Jordan! Jordan is laid-back, funny and so supportive - when Jess & Karl called to say they were engaged she yelled and did a star jump in her living room. This goes to show how loving and supportive Jordan is and this is what Jess values most about Jordan’s friendship!
Jason Piske
Groomsman
Jason is one of Karl’s Groomsmen, Jess’s twin brother and the father to Jess’s nephew, Hudson, who is the ring bearer! Jason and Karl hit it off as soon as they met due to their similar interests and hobbies like Ultimate Frisbee, hockey and video games. Jason is an awesome dad and Karl looks up to him in many ways and views him as a role model. Karl is very excited to be gaining another brother!
Kelly Beck
Bridesmaid
Kelly is one of Jess’s bridesmaids and Karl’s older sister! Kelly is a nurse and Jess loves to talk to Kelly about her job and learn many medical things from Kelly! Jess says if she didn’t become a teacher she would have been a nurse! One of Jess’s best memories of Kelly was attending Kelly’s college grad party despite Karl not being there. Kelly invited Jess to go to the neighborhood pool the next day and it was a blast! Kelly’s witty sense of humor always has everyone laughing and this is the thing Jess loves most about Kelly’s friendship! While they’re not sisters by blood, Jess is THRILLED to be gaining a SIL like Kelly!

Josh is one of Karl’s Groomsmen and is Jess’s younger brother! Josh is very hardworking, knowledgeable and loyal. He has taught Karl a ton of things about handy-work, and will drop everything if someone needs help. This is what Karl values most about their friendship.
AnnaMarie Beck
Flower Girl
AnnaMarie is Karl's cousin and Goddaughter. Anna used to be really shy when she was little but always loved to be around Karl! Since then she has come out of her shell and loves to talk and play with everyone. She is always laughing! She still loves her godfather sooo much! Karl and Jess are so excited to have Anna be apart of their big day!
Hudson Piske
Ring Bearer
Hudson is Jess's nephew and is the sweetest, smiliest and funniest 1.5 year old! Hudson loves to talk, run around and be silly. He never fails to make the people around him laugh and smile. Jess feels it is a privilege to be his Auntie! And in true Karl fashion, since Jess is “Auntie Jess,” Karl named himself “Unkie Karl” and it has stuck ever since. Jess and Karl are so excited to have Hudson be apart of their big day!
