Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate all of the little ones in the family on our wedding day due to limited space at the venue. The kids are welcome to join Friday night for our welcome event and tacos, but Saturday will be 21+ only. If this is a major issue for you or if you need help to find childcare for Saturday, please speak to us!
The weather in the mountains can be very unpredictable! Hopefully we will enjoy perfect, sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-70s. Please come prepared with a light jacket or shawl, as it will cool off quickly at night.
Yes! Our ceremony will be taking place at 8,500 feet. Please drink lots of water to avoid dehydration or altitude sickness. And remember - the drinks hit harder at this elevation. 1 drink at 8,500 feet equals at least 2 at sea level!
We are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have a date, you will know based on your invite!
If you are staying up canyon (at Alta or Snowbird) - YES! If you are staying at the GMD, a shuttle will be making round trips to the Peruvian. Please let us know if you are staying at the Cliff Lodge or somewhere else in the town of Alta so that we can plan a shuttle pick up for you.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, while dinner and dancing will be held inside. The ceremony will be held on grass, so we recommend the ladies choose block heels or wedges over stilettos. Temperatures can drop quickly at night, so bring an extra layer.
Yes! But please make sure to bring your ID because Utah has weird laws.
We recommend grouping together for these services. We are happy to help facilitate! Here are a few babysitting services we have researched: - Mountainside Sitters (provides in-room/on property baby sitting services) https://www.mountainsidesitters.com/ - Superior Childcare at Snowbird (they can keep daycare open late with a 4 child minimum, 4 hour minimum) https://www.superiorchildcare.com/ - Marry Pop-Up Wedding Nanny https://www.marrypopup.com/
If you drive yourself to the venue, there is plenty of parking. However, we caution that the road leading up to the Peruvian is a narrow canyon road, and can be difficult to navigate in the dark if you are not used to mountain driving. If you plan to drink at the wedding, we ask that you do NOT drive yourself and instead take advantage of our provided transportation.
It can be difficult to find a rideshare down canyon late at night. We recommend using our shuttle to the suggested up-canyon hotels or scheduling an Uber home in advance.
