Eat, Drink & We Are Married!

This year certainly hasn't panned out how we had expected. We've been excited about planning our wedding and dreaming of our special day celebrating with our close friends and loved ones. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has added much uncertainty to the process. Excitedly, we have decided to proceed with an intimate celebration of our love which is compliant with the current CDC precautions and guidelines. Unfortunately, with these restrictions come changes to our original guest count. Currently, indoor celebrations are limited to 25% capacity of the venue. This was not an easy decision for us to make, however, the health and well-being of all of our guests is a top priority. We hope you understand that this drastic measure is never one we expected to take. As we're sure you can imagine, this is heartbreaking for us and not how we imagined our wedding celebration. Please hold us in your hearts on November 7th, 2020, as we make our vows to each other. Though we did not envision entering married life in this manner, we plan to do so with an even greater appreciation of life & love. With all of the uncertainty in 2020, we were afraid the world might end before June of 2022! So on September 3rd, 2020, we decided to legally become husband and wife. Our "little" big day marks the new journey we have embarked on as a married couple- but, we couldn't let this major life event go uncelebrated! We’ve created this website to help you plan for our big day. You can find all of the need-to-know details right here, including our ceremony and reception location, virtual live-stream link and password, registry information and a little bit about our love story so far.

If you ask Alyssa, she first noticed Joseph their junior year of high school in a First Aid course. If you ask Joseph, their love story began their senior year of high school in a Probability and Statistics course. (Fun fact: today, only about 2% of marriages are from a high school relationship!) Either way, the two can agree that their relationship began with some flirty notes passed back and forth in class.

One of Alyssa and Joseph's favorite pastime is to go stargazing. For their first anniversary, Alyssa gifted Joseph a star map of the night's sky on the day they started dating and Joe adopted her a star. On October 27, 2019, Joseph planned to take Alyssa to their favorite stargazing spot and ask her to find "their" star. As she searched for the star, he would be down on one knee in front of her waiting for their eyes to meet once again. Unfortunately, it down poured and literally rained on Joe's parade. With some quick thinking, Joseph asked Alyssa to be his wife in their bedroom, while she was holding groceries! Of course she said yes! But she had to put the avocados down first!
