We’re Getting Married!

It all started at Eastern Kentucky University — although neither of us knew at the time just how important that moment would become. During college, I was serving as the philanthropy chair for my sorority, and part of my role meant visiting fraternity meetings to talk about upcoming events and sign-ups. At one of those meetings, I asked if I could get someone’s number to coordinate details. Without missing a beat, Lenny smiled and said, “You can have mine… and keep it for personal use.” I laughed it off at the time, never imagining that one cheesy pickup line would eventually become the beginning of our forever. It wasn’t until about a year later that the lord brought us back together. What started as reconnecting quickly turned into something so much deeper. We grew alongside each other through some of the biggest milestones of our lives — finishing our senior years of college, stepping into adulthood together, and even raising our sweet puppy together. Through every season, we became each other’s safe place, biggest supporter, and best friend. Then came the proposal — a moment that perfectly reflected who Lenny is: thoughtful, intentional, and incredibly loving. One evening, I was out with my friends when I came home to the sweetest note from him telling me to get ready because my best friends were going to bring me to him. Every detail was planned with so much care and meaning, and in that moment, surrounded by so much love, he asked me to spend forever with him. From a chance meeting at a fraternity event to building a life side by side, our story has always felt like perfect timing. We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of the people we love most.
