Sydney, or as Piper calls her, Sydfred, has been best friends with Piper since freshman year of high school. Their friendship grew through their shared love of theatre, coffee, ramen, and many other things. Sydney worked on the technical side of theatre, and Piper performed. They spent many hours going to see shows all over Georgia, drinking lots of coffee, and just enjoying each other's company. When Piper left the state to go to college, they kept in touch often through texts, calls, and FaceTimes. Sydfred even came to see Piper's college acting debut! They visit and catch up in person every time Piper returns to Georgia. Sydfred has become a beloved family friend to all the Laines. Sydney is currently changing careers and pursuing a Masters in Speech Pathology!
Carlee Norwood
Bridesmaid
Carlee and Piper have been best friends ever since they met at Winthrop University college orientation. They were placed in the same group, and once they worked up the nerve to talk to each other, became fast friends. Shortly after that, they joined the same sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. While in their sorority, Piper and Carlee were roommates not once, but twice! They spent lots of time together serving in leadership roles for Zeta, cooking meals together in the sorority house, laughing on Target runs, and everything in between. Carlee went with Piper to the fraternity party where she met Dustin. Carlee graduated with Piper, earning two degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She currently lives in Greenville, SC but makes frequent trips up to visit Piper and Dustin.
Kelsey Thomas

Kelsey and Piper met through their sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. Right after their Big/Little ceremony, they became inseparable. They spent time together hanging out with their bigs, studying, going to sorority events, watching movies, and so much more. During covid, they lived in the same dormitory, and spent time in each other's rooms more than their own. Kelsey and Piper enjoy being introverts together. Kelsey has always been a reliable, steadfast presence and never missed a college production of Piper's. Kelsey is currently working as a chemist in Florida.
Kelli McAlhany
Bridesmaid
Kelli met Piper through their sorority in college, Zeta Tau Alpha. They became closer while living together in their sorority house, and planning recruitment together while serving in their sorority leadership roles. That led them to spend many nights out at various events, drives to Cookout, and now, Kelli being a part of the bridal party. Piper's favorite memories with Kelli include helping her with journalism projects while in college. Kelli is currently a TV Journalist so she's used to breaking news, but thinks this wedding may be her favorite story yet.
Shelby Laine
Bridesmaid
Shelby is Piper's younger sister of 4 years. Growing up together, they bonded over a love of shopping, singing along to music in the car, watching the newest reality tv shows, and grabbing coffee. They get along best when playing board games together. Shelby is currently a student at the University of South Carolina, an hour away from Piper. When she needs a break from college, Shelby enjoys visiting Piper and Dustin to spend time with them and their three cats. Shelby is majoring Neuroscience with a concentration in neurodevelopmental disorders and is minoring in Advertising and Public Relations.
Will Sherer
Best Man
Will and Dustin met through their fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, when Will joined Dustin's fraternity "family tree" as his grand-little. Will and Dustin quickly became friends, and spent lots of time together talking about cars, video games, and deep philosophical questions. Will and Dustin lived together in their college home, affectionately named "The Brick." Also, Will was a key element in Dustin's proposal to Piper. He drove Dustin to Glencairn Gardens and helped Dustin find Piper. While living together, Will and Dustin spent lots of time watching their favorite shows. Will is currently pursuing a Finance Degree.
Isaac Wolff
Groomsman
Isaac and Dustin met during their freshman year at Winthrop. They became fast friends and spent a lot of time at the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house after Isaac became Dustin's fraternity "little." Isaac and Dustin spent a lot of their time trying craft beers at the nearby breweries and helping better their fraternity by serving in leadership roles. Isaac and Dustin also lived together during their junior years at "The Brick." Isaac was another key element in Dustin's proposal to Piper, as he picked out Dustin's outfit to perfectly match Piper's outfit. Isaac is currently finishing his History degree while working at a law firm.
Josh Sloan

Josh and Dustin joined their fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, together as pledge brothers. Josh and Dustin became friends and spent time together through the fraternity. They lived together at "The Brick," and enjoyed hanging out, watching TV, and grilling. Josh is currently working in the banking industry with a Finance degree.
Stephen Nguyen
Groomsman
Stephen and Dustin have been friends since the third grade. They spent the best of their childhood together before Dustin moved to Germany, but kept in touch. When Dustin came back, they were able to hang out again. They spent time playing video games, seeing movies together, and exploring Rock Hill. Stephen went to MUSC and graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy. Stephen and Dustin still spend time at their old Rock Hill haunts together, and meet up to catch up on life frequently.
Drew Avery
Groomsman
Drew and Dustin met during Dustin's fraternity pledge process, where they bonded instantly over their 90s nostalgia aesthetics. They quickly became friends during their time in the fraternity due to shared interests of gaming, tv shows, and car modifications. This past October, Dustin served as a groomsman in Drew's wedding. Dustin is honored to have a friend as trustworthy and dependable as Drew. Drew and his new wife just moved to Bennettsville, SC and Drew is currently working as an auditor.
Samantha Emmons
Officiant
Samantha met Piper through their sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, and the two grew close during their time living at the sorority house together, and serving in leadership roles. Samantha was there the night Piper and Dustin met, and quickly became friends with Dustin too. Samantha is perfect for this role because she has seen Piper and Dustin throughout all stages of their relationship. And who would be more appropriate to stand next to them while they usher in a new stage of their relationship? Samantha has been a loving and supportive friend to both Piper and Dustin throughout their time together. Fun fact: This photo is from the night Piper met Dustin!
Ziva, Elijah, + Luke Pafford
Flower Girl and Ring Bearers
Piper met the Pafford Family through church, and became their nanny for several summers. She took Eli, Ziva, and Luke to swim lessons, movies, the park (pictured), as well as spending time playing games and making crafts during the summer time. Eventually Ziva's worst fear came true and Piper left the state for college (How dare she?!). During covid, Piper came back home and helped the Pafford children with online school for a time before leaving again to finish her degree. The Pafford children met Dustin for the first time when Piper brought him to Georgia in December of 2022, and all five of them spent quality time playing together. Piper visits often with the Pafford Family who have now become close family friends with the Laines. Ziva (10) will serve as their flower girl while Elijah (12) and Luke (8) will serve as ring bearers.
