Colombia is a beautiful country full of culture and lovely people. We understand that it will be the first time traveling for many of our guests. Please, If you have any questions other than what we have listed here, please call or text us!
Question

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

Taxi is the most common transportation method. Upon arrival to the airport, ask the airport employees for a yellow taxi. Before selecting a taxi, be sure to confirm the total cost of the trip. A taxi to the city center the airport should be no more than $30,000 COP ($8 USD). Uber is also available, however, it is not as common as it is in the United States. Wait times for cars may be longer.

How to pay in Cartagena?

Answer

Credit cards are widely accepted. However, we recommend carrying a small amount of cash because many places are cash only. ATM's are also available around the city. The local currency is the Colombian Peso (COP). When paying with a credit card, you may be asked "En cuantas Cuotas?" (How many payments?). Customers in Colombia given the choice to divide the payment over one to 24 months. Foreign cardholders should just say "unavailable" (or one).

Do I need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter Colombia?

Answer

As of May 2022, Colombia is no longer requiring travelers to Colombia to be fully vaccinated in order to enter. If you are fully vaccinated (one dose of Johnson & Johnson or two doses of Moderna & Pfizer), you can show your vaccination card to gain entry to Colombia. If you are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated, you must provide a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of your flight to Colombia. Reach out to us with any questions!

Do I need a COVID test to return to America?

Answer

The United States is no longer requiring a COVID test to return to the US.

Will my cellphone work in Colombia?

Answer

Yes, a majority of cell phone providers offer international plans that will allow the use of your phone while in Colombia. Nearly all restaurants, bars, and hotels have free WiFi as well. Please call your cell phone provider before traveling.

What are the dress codes?

Answer

Welcome Cocktail: Smart casual / tropical chic Beach Day: Resort Casual or Beach Attire for those that want to soak up the sun and enjoy the beach Ceremony and Reception: Black Tie

Is wearing white acceptable?

Answer

Ladies, please refrain from white or any variation of it for all events. White shirts are acceptable for men.

Will the wedding events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Welcome Party and the Beach Day are outdoor events. The Ceremony and Reception will both be indoors, with a short, outdoor Cocktail Hour in between.

What do men wear to the welcome party?

Answer

Men can wear chinos or slacks with linen and guayaberas. No shorts.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from events?

Answer

The only event that transportation will be provided for is the Beach Day. All other events are a short, walking distance from each other. Taxis are very inexpensive for those that don't wish to walk.
