Danielle Nonaka

Bride

Thomas Aloi III

Groom

Summer Wurster

Matron of Honor

Danielle and Summer met through a mutual friend over the phone prior to Summer transferring to Harding. Danielle awkwardly interrupted Summer talking to the mutual friend on the phone, spoke to her like we’d met before, and said how excited she was for Summer to come to Harding. They became fast friends when they met in Fall 2012 and later roommate for two years. Danielle and Summer were both together at the beginning of their respective relationships and sat in their shared room talking about their future husbands. Summer was there when Danielle anxiously wrote out her “Hey, how are you doing?” message to Tommy on FB.

Jesse Lowe

Best Man

Jesse and Tommy met at the Boys and Girls Club youth wrestling team in early middle school. He’s Tommy’s best friend. They ran around causing a ruckus around the Montclair neighborhood. Jesse, Tommy, and Hayden would do a lot of fishing together.

Angela Khemchandani

Bridesmaid

Angela is Danielle’s “soul-sister.” They met in Language Arts in Fall 2007, during freshman year in high school. They had all but one class together that year. Danielle and Angela slowly formed a friendship that’s lasted over ten years. “Hey, Soul Sister,” by Train came out and they jammed out to the song together in the car. Although, when the song was written it had a different meaning, to these two it meant being sisters. They’ve lasted from being on completely separate coasts of the country and haven’t lived in the same place since 2010 but have still remained really good friends.

Hayden Mosher

Groomsman

Hayden and Tommy became friends in 6th grade. One of the first times they hung out was going to the Naval Academy Father and Son wrestling camp with their dads. It was the first big thing they did together. They wrestled through high school together and claimed their All-American status.

Amanda Servideo

Bridesmaid

Amanda was originally Danielle’s Cross-Country coach, then Danielle’s athletic trainer in high school, who became the “big sister” Danielle never had who continually checked in on her through college. Through difficult times in Danielle’s early adult years she would turn to Amanda for honest advice. They would see each other during each college break.

Tanner Alderman

Groomsman

Tommy and Tanner met at the Boys and Girls Club through wrestling, too. Tanner was younger than Tommy. When Tanner got into high school, he wanted to join Tommy, Jesse, and Hayden’s group. It became the four of them who hung out during high school.

Hannah Hatcher

Bridesmaid

Hannah played soccer on the Harding University women’s soccer team with Danielle. From an annoying freshman to Hannah’s future roommate to a best friend. Hannah has always been Danielle’s compass who keeps her in line. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears have been shared. Hannah has had Danielle’s back on and off the field, literally.

Collin Aloi

Groomsman

Collin is Tommy’s brother. When Tommy was five years old, he remembers holding Collin as a tiny baby, sitting on the couch with him laid across his lap. This led to years of having each other’s back and having the strongest brotherly support.

Tori Nonaka

Bridesmaid

Tori is Danielle’s sister. Tori was the one who made Danielle a big sister. Growing up, Danielle enjoyed drawing on Tori with highlighter. Tori and Tommy shared an apartment together (monogamously) so Tommy didn’t have to move an hour away, he and Danielle could still see each other, and helped make Tommy part of the family.

Griffin Aloi

Groomsman

Griffin is Tommy’s brother. Tommy and Griffin competed in the MAWA wrestling tournament together, which Tommy thought was really cool. They both won medals during that event. Tommy went on to coach against Griffin's high school team. It was a unique experience!

Brenna Nonaka

Bridesmaid

Brenna is Danielle’s sister, who went from FedEx to bridesmaid. When Danielle was in college, she and Brenna were not close because of the physical distance. Once Danielle came home, Brenna and Danielle became friends, not just sisters. Brenna told Danielle that she wasn’t allowed to break up with Tommy because she didn’t want to get to know anyone else and she liked him as a brother. Brenna’s smile is contagious.

Nathin Aloi

Groomsman

Nathin is Tommy’s brother. Nate was always the first one to hang out with Tommy and his buddies at the house. Whenever they’d be hanging out in the group, Nate would be the first one in the basement hanging out with the boys. He had a cannon for an arm – he’d always have to throw something at Tommy’s friends. Even though Nate is so much younger, Nate was able to hold his own with the group. He’d always want to rough house and wrestle with the group.

Jordan Crandall

Bridesmaid

Jordan and Danielle met through work at Bull Run Middle School. Jordan was Danielle’s first real same-aged work friend. Jordan is always there for Danielle to vent to without judgment. Jordan and Danielle quickly became good friends.

Shawn Nonaka

Groomsman

Shawn is Danielle’s brother. Tommy was Shawn’s first advanced club wrestling coach at the Prince William Wrestling Club. Tommy recalls Shawn being very determined and always the hardest working in the room. Tommy enjoyed seeing Shawn’s progression as a wrestler from where he started to where he is now at George Mason University. Shawn is the reason why Danielle and Tommy met. He was there for all of the major events in their relationship.

Becca Dodick

Bridesmaid

Becca changed the cheerleading stereotype for Danielle. Danielle and Becca bonded over a mission trip to Honduras over spring break. They stayed sane together through several Sonic runs and drives blasting loud music while at Harding. Becca’s the sweetest human being Danielle has ever met in her life.

Brendan Nonaka

Groomsman

Brendan is Danielle’s brother. One of Tommy’s favorite early memories of Brendan (the night Danielle and Tommy met) was when he and Brendan were wrestling after practice. He didn’t want to leave when Danielle was ready to leave. Danielle threw Brendan over his shoulder, Brendan yelled “no, no, no!”. When asked why he didn’t want to go home, Brendan said because he didn’t want to go. In the car, Brendan climbed onto the front seat and all over the dashboard. Tommy witnessed Brendan’s craziness. Now, Tommy gets to enjoy playing video games with him and having him over to the apartment.

Stella Eversley

Flower Girl

Stella is Danielle and Tommy’s flower girl. Stella is the daughter of Tommy’s family friend that he met through wrestling. Stephanie and AJ have become role models who have given them very good relationship support and advice. Danielle has enjoyed watching Stella at various wrestling meets since she was born. Since Tommy and Danielle don’t have any young family members, when it was time to pick a flower girl, they immediately knew Stella was the one.

Beckett, Nash & Maverick

Ringer Bearer & Sign Holders

Beckett, Maverick and Nash are Danielle’s “nephew” (technically cousins). During her time at Harding, Danielle grew closer to the Morgan family. Their house in Little Rock was Danielle’s “home away from home” on the weekends during college. When Beckett was born, Danielle left classes, went to the hospital, and eagerly waited for him in the waiting room. Nash and and Maverick were born during the summer, and Danielle could not wait to get back to school to meet them. Beckett will be the ring bearer. Nash and Maverick will walk down the aisle holding signs.

Dr. Greg Harris

Officiant

Greg Harris is a close friend of Danielle’s and was her soccer coach while at Harding. During Danielle and Tommy’s time of long-distance dating, Danielle looked to Coach Harris for advice. Growing up Eugene Chumlee was the person who Danielle thought would marry her. Following Eugene’s passing, Danielle knew that Coach Harris was the only one who could possibly do the job, as an amazing spiritual and life mentor both off and on the field for Danielle.
