Most businesses accept cash or pesos, particularly in smaller shops and markets. Credit and debit cards are commonly accepted in hotels, restaurants, and larger stores, especially in the city center. ATMs are widely available for withdrawing pesos. Be sure to check with your bank about international transaction fees if you plan to use your card! Note: Many places do not take American Express.
In Oaxaca, the weather in November is mostly sunny with very few days of rain. The daily high temperatures are usually in the 70s-80s, with lows in the 40s-50s.
Cocktail Attire with a festive twist! We encourage colorful, vibrant outfits inspired by Oaxaca. Think bold colors, fun textures, and statement pieces. Most Importantly, wear something you feel best in, we want you to feel comfortable, confident and ready to celebrate. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended, as we will be walking through cobblestone streets during our post-ceremony parade.
All events on our wedding day will be held outdoors.
We recommend arriving by Wednesday/Thursday to give yourself time to settle in, explore Oaxaca, and adjust before the festivities begin.
We recommend staying in or near Oaxaca City Centro for easy access to the venue and weekend events. A list of recommended hotels can be found on our Travel section of our website.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults only celebration. We appreciate your understanding!
