Our story began in the bustling streets of Korea back in April 2015. It was a time when the cherry blossoms painted the landscape with delicate shades of pink, and destiny was about to weave its intricate tapestry. Piljung had just completed his military service in the Republic of Korea Air Force, and the world lay before him with boundless possibilities. Little did he know that his future would soon be intertwined with Hyejin. Our first encounter was serendipitous, a chance meeting at a restaurant in Seoul. I was instantly drawn to her warm smile and beautiful eyes, while she was captivated by my infectious laughter and kindness. Our conversation flowed effortlessly, as if we had known each other for a lifetime. But life had other plans for us. Piljung's journey took him far away, to the United States, to pursue his studies. We found ourselves separated by vast oceans and endless time zones. Two years of long-distance trials tested our patience and devotion. The late-night calls and virtual kisses could never replace the warmth of Piljung's presence. We yearned for each other's touch, our hearts aching with the longing to be reunited. In the midst of the relentless distance, it was a decision born out of love that would forever change our lives. Hyejin made the brave choice to leave everything behind, my home, my family, and my comfort zone, to be with Piljung in the United States. Our reunion was a moment of unparalleled joy. We held each other as if we would never let go, knowing that our love had triumphed over the challenges that tried to keep us apart. As the days turned into months and the months into years, our love deepened, growing stronger with every shared experience and every whispered "I love you."
