After a lot of encouragement from his colleagues, Dustin took Lindsay on their first date to Raes Costal Cafe. Sharing stories, a lot of laughs, and finding commonalities we didn't know we shared, we chatted for hours. Our only complaint of the night was the server bringing our meal courses too quickly. Hours later, we called it a night and that began the story of us.

So much changed from our first date to our engagement. Lindsay moved to Kansas in April 2018 and thankfully, Dustin left the South in September to take on a new position and join Lindsay. With our new roles, we were both traveling all over, leaving little time to explore our new city and surroundings together. Dustin took it upon himself, as he often does, to plan a weekend trip away from the hustle n bustle, get out and explore while also participating in a haunted trek in the woods. Our first stop - local coffee shop and farmers market in Manhattan, KS Our second stop - The world's largest ball of twine in Cawker City, KS Our third stop - geographic center of the lower 48 states in a field outside of Lebanon, KS The third stop was where the big question was asked! As Lindsay wondered around the area checking out all it had to offer, Dustin confessed he'd "forgotten" his phone in the car. Upon return, we went looking for the marker identifying the exact geographic center. Once located, Dustin got down on one knee and asked Lindsay to be his bride.

Asking everyone to participate as we become Mr an Mrs is not ideal as this will occur in the Bahamas. However, we're hoping you'll join us for a more local celebration in Georgia as we begin our lives together as husband and wife.
