Valle de Angeles is a Spanish mining town that retains its 16th-century charm and character. Home to the huge concrete statue of Christ, Cristo del Picacho, that watches over the city. The main reason to come to this park is for the views of the capital and the surrounding mountains.
Beautiful wilderness park about 20 km outside of Tegucigalpa. The site has many kilometers of hiking trails and is terrific for bird enthusiasts, as it's an easily accessible place to see quetzals, trogons, toucans and more.
