Brick-paved pedestrian outdoor mall with bars, restaurants, and shops.
The historic corner district is a collection of bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment directly across from the campus of The University of Virginia.
University founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson. Advance tickets required if you choose to take an official tour. We especially love walking through "The Lawn" on our own.
Saturday Farmers Market (9AM - 1PM)
Home of Thomas Jefferson. Grounds are open to the public with tours available by advance booking.
The southern entrance to the national park (Rockfish Gap) is a 30 minute drive from Charlottesville. The Blue Ridge Parkway cuts through the entire park and is a great scenic drive. There are plenty of great hikes both inside and adjacent to the national park - ask us for recommendations or search on AllTrails if you decide to go! We recommend reserving your park pass online ahead of time.
There are a number of great wineries in the area. Two of our favorites are Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards and King Family Vineyards.
Our favorite French bakery - does not disappoint. Note: the line can get long after 9:00 AM on weekends. Petite MarieBette is their secondary outpost on the pedestrian mall.
A Charlottesville staple and one of our favorite restaurants in the city.
Corner whiskey bar tucked away on the pedestrian mall.
We love the Fitz's sleek long bar for a happy hour drink.
If you're looking for a late night tequila / mezcal bar, here's your spot.
