Ariel and Joseph first connected on a Christian dating app called Upward. One of the profile prompts asked them to share a Bible verse that meant a lot to them and that they hoped to live by—and, without knowing it, they chose the exact same one: Proverbs 3:5–6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” Seeing that they shared not only the same faith, but the very same verse to live by, immediately caught their attention.
