THE REAL MVPS

Tara Williams

Bride

Zack Pierson

Groom

Tracy Williams

Mother of the Bride

Elaine Pierson

Mother of the Groom

Shane Williams

Father of the Bride

Jim Pierson

Father of the Groom

Tabitha Williams

Maid of Honor

When Tara was nearly 3 years old her little sister, Tabitha, was born. Tara was extremely underwhelmed because Tabitha looked more like a potato and less like a Sesame Street monster (what she had anticipated). Over the years she has (mostly) gotten over that disappointment and Tabitha is one of her closest friends. No one on this planet makes her laugh as hard as this big dumb idiot does!

Eliot Tole

Best Man

Zack and Eliot met over 20 years ago playing tag on the street they both lived on. While Eliot doesn't have his frosted tips any more and Zack hasn't worn his iconic zip off pants/shorts in years, the two are still the same curious and sometimes reckless kids they were back then. They've lived together, driven across the country together and have been through every up and down in each others lives. Zack is honored to have Eliot be one of his co-best men.

Blake Martin

Maid of Honor

Blake is Tara's cousin and one of her first friends! When they were kids Blake had a knack for getting into trouble and Tara always loved being her partner in crime. This has remained true in adulthood. Blake now lives in Golden, Colorado and is a Fine Arts teacher at a middle school in Aurora. She shares Tara's love for adventure and singing along to 90's kids movies. No matter where life takes them, there is no one else that Tara would rather drive across Kansas with.

Zak Cherif

Best Man

Realizing they had the same name in their middle school Spanish class was only the beginning. Their first (and only) argument was in 2005 where they found themselves on opposite sides of the Kanye West Graduation vs. 50 Cent Curtis album debate (a very hot topic at the time). While the two STILL don't have any pictures together, Zack and Zak have kept up their bond no matter how far apart they've lived from each other.

Shelby Fullerton

Bridesmaid

Tara and Shelby became friends in high school when they had to share a room at a sketchy hotel in Columbia, Missouri for a speech and debate tournament. They immediately bonded over their shared love of food, movies and traveling and have been best buds ever since! Together they have traveled to Myrtle Beach, Memphis, New Orleans, the Bahamas, Mount Rainier and even Lebanon, MO! Over the course of 2019 they also set out to watch every movie that has ever won best picture at the Oscars. With the help of streaming services and a library card they accomplished this challenge and will happily share their opinion on each movie with literally anyone who asks!

Khalif Gillett

Groomsman

Khalif was the first friend Zack made in Kansas City and continues to be his closest connection after Grad school. Their friendship consisted of going to the movies, walking around Target, and working on each others creative endeavors. Even though their days at UMKC are behind them, Zack and Khalif still collaborate on each others shows and albums and still meander around Target together whenever they find themselves in the same city.

Meghan LeVota

Bridesmaid

Meghan is one of Tara's longest friendships! They met when they were 12 in children's community theatre and immediately realized they were both nerds and could be stupid together. Meghan and Tara would spend hours messaging each other on Instant Messenger and formatting their MySpace profiles, pestering the employees of Worlds of Fun and creating inside jokes that absolutely no one ever understood. Tara would not be who she is today without Meghan's encouragement and friendship throughout the years!

Charlie Weber

Groomsman

Zack and Charlie met as undergraduates in the theatre program at Western Washington University, one a sound designer and the other a lighting designer and neither a particularly "theatre-y" theatre person. Late nights of AutoCAD and complaining about art history, watching debatably terrible movies, walking through the city of Bellingham and bonding over pizza led them to be best friends. They still call each other to discuss new albums, bad movie opinions and to hear how each others life is going.

Steven Miles

Bridesman

ROOS 4 LIFE! Tara and Steven met their freshman year of college and wanted to be friends, but it took awhile because Tara kept complimenting Steven's clothes but he thought she was being a dick. After overcoming unfathomable adversity their friendship blossomed and mostly chaos ensued. Steven owes Tara his life after she valiantly rescued him from a viscous drunk person at the Riot Room (RIP). She also definitely helped him memorize all of his lines when he was given the role of playing Richard III. Needless to say, there is no one more fun to party with and then immediately break down how cool Shakespeare is. College would have been lame without Steven and the bill from UMKC was worth it for his friendship.

Meghan Lazelle

Groomswoman

Meghan is Zack's very first friend, his sister. When they were young Zack and Meghan would swap pajamas, run around the house with each other and argue over who's turn it was to play Jump Start on the computer. They've gone through high school choir, college parties and family events together, all the while Zack and Meghan have always been there for each other through the years.
