We are tying the knot!

In the fall of 2017 at UC Irvine, two water polo players, Irie and Pierre, crossed paths. Irie was on the girls' club team, often lacking enough players, so the boys' team would step in to help. One day during practice, Irie accidentally elbowed Pierre in the lip, sparking playful banter instead of rivalry. This led to a budding friendship. Later, Pierre invited Irie to a snowboarding trip to Big Bear, CA. Amidst the snowy mountains, Pierre asked Irie to be his girlfriend, and she said yes.
